Nick Bubany |
As a child growing up in NYC, Nick Bubany had always admired the artists he had seen painting in Central Park. He was impressed with their skills as they captured the beauty of nature in a matter of hours. It was this early exposure, coupled with many visits to Art Museums, that fueled his interest in oil painting. Nick continually finds inspiration for his paintings in the beauty of nature. His preferred studio is the outdoors where he captures the dramatic lighting effects and the essence of natural settings. The artist finds that varied subject matter provides excitement and challenge for interpretation. It is the accentuation of these conditions and prismatic light effects that the artist captures and communicatesboth in his classical and his impressionistic works. Nick studied with several nationally recognized artists at the Ridgewood Art Institute. He has won numerous awards including a Gold Medal at the National Art League. Nick has exhibited at the Chelsea Mansion in Muttontown, The Salmagundi Club, Vanderbilt Museum, Guild Hall (Southampton) and in many league exhibitions. His paintings are in private collections nationally and in several European countries. Galleries:His works have been exhibited at various Galleries in The Hamptons, NY, Connecticut and Massachusetts.Special Exhibitions: President's Invitational Showcase - Wisser Memorial Center, NY “Thoughts of an Artist”, a half hour television program, was devoted to the artist and featured over 20 of his paintings.
